How to make Long Term Grits

Long Term Grits

1 - 36 oz box Super Family Size Instant Grits
1 - 16 oz bottle of Karo Syrup
6 - caps of R & W Mello Fruity Flavoring

Pour 2 oz's of syrup into the grits. Place the flavoring in the remaining bottle of syrup and shake until evenly distributed. (This is key otherwise too much flavoring on one bait and not anything on the other). Place lid on bucket and let it set up overnight. (In a rush, 45 minutes will work but for best results please follow the above direction.

Break apart a little at a time while slightly wetting your hand. If you keep bait in a cool dry place with the lid sealed, this bait will last up to 6 months. The reality is when the fish are biting grits (generally late spring, early summer) it will only last one fishing trip.

I like to personally double the recipe and I carry them with me almost everytime that I go fishing. You do not want to run out if the fish are ripping.

More Flavors:
